GGI Conference Marrakech

Simon and Alun’s attendance at the GGI Geneva Group International Conference in Marrakech as new members of the association was a huge success, giving opportunities to network and engage with fellow members.

On Thursday 200 participants joined the initial plenary session and then moved to an International Taxation Practice Group discussion, which discussed working together to optimise International Tax Compliance. Other panel discussions including dealing with proposal requests, controlled corporations and economic substance, ending with driving growth through alternative service offerings.

The highlight of Friday’s sessions was Audit, Reporting & Compliance as well hearing from keynote speakers, Prof Dr Thomas P. Muller and H.I.H Prince Asfa-Wossen Asserate, who delivered a fascinating key-note speech on investing in Africa.

An impressive snapshot

The final day saw a lively discussion in The Trusts & Estate Planning Practise Group about the challenges our clients face to enjoy a basic right to privacy……then to finish the experience a walking tour around the old city was arranged to highlight the cultural delights of this amazing city.

In summary, the entire conference was well organised and a great success. Forward Group is looking forward to forging stronger international relations with fellow members and the GGI Geneva Group International in the coming months and years to support its exciting growth plans to become a leading business in supporting wealth management and providing succession planning solutions.
